The world of marketing is constantly changing. Keeping up can be extremely difficult. The primary goal is to generate leads for your company which actually turn into sales. As strategies are consistently changing, we are here to shine some light on what is Content Marketing.
Content marketing sounds intimidating, when in fact, it’s quite simple. In simple terms, it’s what you create! Here are some ways that companies are creating fresh content to keep their customers interested:
- Podcasts
- Email Lists
- Infographics
- Videos Blogs! (weird right?)
- Interviews
- Social Media Posts
These are just a few from a larger list. This list is ever-changing as people are trying to gain an edge on their competition. When I look at why this tactic is so beneficial, it’s because it tells a story. As a consumer myself, I follow companies who share content that is relatable and that keeps me intrigued.
While creating and posting ads certainly has value, sometimes it can become frustrating when it is all you see. Organic content can be a better way of creating real life connection and it keeps the consumer in the loop. A benefit of this form of marketing is that it’s easily shareable as well.
Content marketing is a long term strategy. Building can take some time. It can be daunting, however this is how to build the strong following most companies desire. It helps develop your brand but also brand loyalty and in challenging markets. This can help take your company to new heights. It’s about patience, trial and error, and good content.
“What small business owners need to understand is that 70% of customers would rather learn about a company through content than through paid ads”
This quote from Neil Patel, founder of Crazy Egg, shows how important content is.
No matter how big or small your company may be, the content you produce will help tell your story. That story is what connects you with your current and potential customers. This, in turn, leads to more sales and customer loyalty.
As the marketing paradigm is ever-changing, here at ninety two, we look to stay ahead of the curve and help our clients take their business to the next level. By ignoring some of these strategies, you may allow your competitors to take more of the pie.
