grist.
bar and restaurant.
grist. is a contemporary casual restaurant housed in the iconic Lower Mill of Honeoye Falls. In early 2025, they launched an effort to revamp the space, giving the historic building new life. Our team had the honor of generating the perfect brand to fit the elegance and style of the restaurant. Months later, ninety two was given the opportunity to develop a logo for their new underground speakeasy. Nestled beneath grist., 1827 lounge is a tasteful bar—perfect for live music and extravagant cocktails.

IDENTITY.
logo.
This final logo incorporates the simplicity and elegance of grist. as a restaurant. By portraying the name in lowercase, we added a whole new sense of modernization and style to the logo design.
Color & typography.
Colors evoke emotions and associations. The updated color scheme for Birddogs was chosen to reflect energy, confidence, and versatility, aligning with the brand’s core attributes. For typography, a clean, sans-serif typeface was selected to exude modernity and approachability.
MENU DESIGN
1827 Lounge
When you deliver excellence, past clients will always return. This case study is the perfect example. After developing simple and elegant branding for grist., our team had the opportunity to develop a logo for their new speakeasy.
final logo.
1827 Lounge needed a logo that would enable the speakeasy to stand on its own. Where the grist. logo is all lowercase, 1827 Lounge is detailed in uppercase. This concept defines the idea of 1827 Lounge being a separate entity while still being affiliated with the grist. brand. The final logo plays on the requested theme while not being too on the nose. “Lounge” fits perfectly into “1827”, just as lock and key does.
